I was looking for something a bit outside my typical to-read list and what I discovered was A Different Blue by Amy Harmon, which I believe has spent two weeks now on the New York Times bestseller list. The blurb sounded interesting, so I tried the sample on my kindle, and I was hooked!
A Different Blue is a beautiful, sad, sweet, heart-wrenching and uplifting story about Blue Echohawk, a young woman who was abandoned at the age of two and raised by a single old man who taught her to carve and became her world.
At age 10, her world was taken from her.
Blue spiraled into an abyss of bad choices and self-loathing, until she met Darcy Wilson. She began to learn that life, and relationships, could be different than anything she’d ever experienced.
The journey that Blue takes to find herself is so moving that I actually got choked up…more than once.
I highly recommend this book to fans of fiction, romance, or just great stories. I loved it.
