Hello! I have a few mildly interesting things to report. First of all, my new novel, title still undecided, is written, start to finish, in rough draft form. Yay! This story is not related to Empyrean. It’s a new setting, new characters, new ideas. So, I am now sitting on four books essentially, though only one is in completed manuscript form…time to type and edit. I have gone back to do some editing on book two and three of the Empyrean trilogy, and I’m really enjoying reading the story with fresh eyes. As far as publication goes, the same publishing company that Empyrean was originally sent to still has the manuscript, no word from them since February, but, at least I can say that no one has rejected it yet!
On the home-front we’ve been enjoying fresh asparagus, rhubarb, and strawberries from the garden. The broccoli is starting to head up and the lettuce and radishes are almost ready to pick! Bring on the home-grown veggies! We do not have a new calf yet. We were expecting Jedda (our newest Jersey milk cow) to have her baby in April, and it’s nearly June. I guess the farm we bought her from wasn’t keeping that close a count. We’re still getting regular tornado warnings, but we seem to be far enough east that the worst of the storms stay west or move north of us.
I have added two new stories to the cottage reel, a new poem, and finished reading two books for which I’ve added brief reviews. Thanks for stopping by!
