Here are seven things that you might not already know about me:
1.When I don’t run I’m kind of a pain to be around. That’s one of the reasons that I run A LOT.
2. I don’t have a television.
3. I love lists. I love writing lists, I love crossing things off my lists, I love rewriting my lists so that they’re all clean and organized…yep, weird.
4. My number one character strength- according to a personality test that my husband made me take- is Industry, Perseverance, Diligence (yes, all one strength apparently).
5. Because of #4 I am incapable of procrastinating.
6. Someday I want an office designed by Peter Walsh.
7. I love novelty; learning new things, new places, new experiences, and especially new ideas.
Now it’s your turn! You can respond to these, or tell me something that I didn’t already know about you!
Your number 3 is not weird at all for me. That is EXACTLY what I do.
Yay! Another list fanatic :)
You don’t have a tv? Score! I have one in the house, but never watch it. I’m allergic to commercials. *hugs my list and crosses something out*
LOL. I love your comments Margaret. I do still watch movies on the computer, but I don’t miss T.V. at all- especially the commercials!
1. I almost always order the same things at restaurants if I have had the item once and it was good.
2. I often things in life that happen to a part of a book or movie.
3. I used to eat Taco Bell ALL THE TIME until my wife made me see the light and now I have it RARELY.
4. I’ve often heard that encouragement is one of my strengths..but I have never taken a strength test. Going to have to take one someday!
2. is i often compare things in life that happen to a part of a book or a movie. Obviously I am not a good editor. That could be number 5. :) haha
Thanks for sharing your list Jim! I totally agree with #1- the funny thing is I frequently receive meals that I didn’t order, I mean more than random chance can account for, so I end up trying something new anyway! The results of that test were kind of unexpected, at least the trait I listed isn’t how I would have described myself. I can definitely see encouragement being one of your top strengths!
Hmmm, you and my wife have the list-thing in common. Not me. Nope, I just let her write mine up–then I ignore them. She likes to make lists for me. My knees are shot, so my running days are over, but definitely need a long walk every day. Just got back.
Something not too many in the online writerly world know about me: In my former life I was considered an exterior wood coatings expert. I used to trouble-shoot siding and decking coatings issues all over IL, IN, MI, and WI. How’s that for an odd factoid?
That’s a fun, and impressive, factoid :) Thanks for sharing!
1. I love outdoors-I think that’s why I like gardening & long walks. It’s where I feel real close to God.
2. I’ve always done lists & redone lists, not as much as I used to, but I still do them.
3. I love naps-short or long-it rejuvenates me.
4. We’ll have our organizer-personified (Danielle) be our Peter Walsh & do an office-what do you think?
5. Everyone knows I don’t like to cook, but I don’t care if I eat most of the time either-I do it because it’s there…and I guess you need to eat to live.
Seems like a trend here, the women are into lists, the men, not so much. Good idea on the office!
I love when people share things about themselves… especially quirky things!
I think I would die without a tv because I seem to be becoming rather hermitic… but then when I am away from one, I don’t seem to miss it, I rarely watch it though it’s on all the time. It’s there to keep me company. I would likely be a much more centered person if I kept it off.. lol
Looking forward to getting to know more about you. : )
Thanks for stopping by Shelley! I often have music going in the background, so I understand about just needing some company :) I look forward to getting to know you as well!
I make lists, lots and lots of lists, including ms notes– and then never look at them. It seems that once I write something down, it sticks in my brain, but if I don’t write it out I’m guaranteed to forget it. Go figure.
That’s funny. I feel the same about if something’s written down I remember it, but I do look back at my lists. Writing them seems to free that excess from my mind.
